Work in Moab, Utah this fall! Positions available starting August 21st!
Spend three months working and living outdoors as part of a Utah Conservation Corps crew. Crews complete projects on Utah's public lands around the Moab area related to habitat restoration and invasive species removal. UCC provides two week of training in chainsaw use and safety, project and tool techniques, Wilderness First Aid, and backcountry camping. Then the crews spend the next 10 weeks completing project work.
POSITION DATES: August 21 - November 15, 2017
Great attitude and love of the outdoors
Ability and willingness to work hard as part of a small crew
Ability to work 10 hours a day outdoors and meet the physical demands of the work
At least 18 years of age as of August 21st
US Citizen or permanent resident
Must meet AmeriCorps eligibility requirements
Living allowance, $550 paid twice per month
$1,527 AmeriCorps Education Award (money to use towards student loans or tuition)
Wilderness First Aid Certification
Chainsaw and trails training
