Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

-Teach Family Classes and Teens in the Garden programs on a monthly basis; substitute teach for additional programs when instructors are not available
-Prepare and organize supplies for informal programs including Teens in the Garden, Family Classes and Garden Adventures Camp; assist with preparation days for additional programs when needed
-Assist in the implementation of outreach strategies for informal programming including event tabling and email communications
-Effectively communicate with Education staff and volunteers and work collaboratively with other Garden department staff members

Position Requirements include:

-Experience in writing, developing, or teaching science and environmental curriculum in an informal educational environment
-Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively
-Enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills
-Flexibility to work well in a team environment
-Strong written and oral communications skills
-Light bending and lifting (up to 25 lbs.) associated with routine job duties
